The Rising Popularity of Discount Stores E-mail
Discount stores seem to constantly be popping up anywhere you look nowadays. A new Wal-Mart was just built in my neighborhood.

We certainly didn't need any new discount stores as we already have Wal-Mart and K-Mart in my neighborhood. That's a lot of discounted merchandise.

There is also a shopping mall near my house that people flock to as well. Of course, at the shopping mall, they are paying more money and hunting for certain brand names. I've noticed more sales at the mall since the discount stores have begun to take over.

I am a fan of discount stores as I am all about saving money. If I can shop at Target for half of the cost of visiting the malls, then I'm a very happy customer.

Both the K-Mart and Wal-Mart discount stores in my town have added groceries to their stores making life even more convenient for many customers.

I didn't like that idea at first but after realizing how much of a convenience it was, I warmed up to the idea. With gas prices at an all-time high right now, doing all of my shopping at one store makes life a bit less expensive as well.

Discount stores are more popular in America than anyplace else in the world. That almost makes me think that as a nation, we're a cheap country that is full of bargain hunters.

Maybe that's true, but that also means that we all are smarter as well. Why in the world would you want to spend more money than you absolutely have to?

We're not a cheap country, the shoppers of discount stores are simply more price-conscious than other shoppers. Why should I spend $50 more for something just because it happens to be a particular brand name when I can get the same item for less money, but minus the expensive label?

That makes no sense to me. My favorite of all the discount stores is Target. I think that the Target stores in my area have more of a selection and more trendy fashions that the competitors.

I get the majority of my pre-schoolers clothing at discount stores and I'm proud of the amount of money I have been able to save.

In fact, probably half of the items in my house have been purchased at discount stores over the years. A large amount of Christmas presents for friends and family come from discount stores as well.

I will often get my holiday and everyday greeting cards there because of the large selections and discounted prices. While I'm not thrilled with the disorganized traffic patterns in my town, I love having so many discount stores to choose from.
